Good morning Community :)
1st of all apologize for my english.

I would like to enroll in a (offline) course to get the Master in Digital Marketing.
It is an accredited course at European level to become a "digital content strategy specialist"

At the end of the course (400 hours) and after the internship (400 hours) I will be able to cover one of these roles:
- expert on web content and marketing
- copywriter for the web
- social media manager
- digital marketing consultant
This course, realized in partnership with the University of Padua, is recognized at the European level according to a level of EQF4.
Cost € 3,300 plus an additional € 300 of fuel expenses (course+stage)

Question: Is it possible to obtain a similar and less expensive training and certification with Coursera ?
Really thank you for your help and suggestions.

Hi @milko,

Coursera offers a Digital Marketing MasterTrack™️ Certificate. You may want to take a look at this page:
Personally, I'm not aware of the details, but I know that there is a form on this page which allows you to gain more information about this Certificate before enrolling. So, it's a good way for you to compare it with the program that you talked about.

P.S. Why did you apologize? Your English is very good. 🙂

ciao @Maryam really thank you for your reply,
I've check the Digital Marketing MasterTrack™️ Certificate and found it cost the same.
I've request more info with the Form and also I've send an email @llinois.edu asking if it's possible to know the learning plan in detail.
In my opinion if the cost is the same, better if I choose the local, offline course: this "piece of paper" with the certification have more effect with local companies when I'll propose my new skills.
Is my english still understandable?
:)
do you think it's a good idea to ask someone, @illinois or @coursera, to validate my local course learning plan ?

grazie!

I forgot to ask you one thing: the Digital Marketing MasterTrack™️ Certificate have the option to pay in installments in the about section, but not in the FAQ section (Financial aid is not currently available for MasterTrack™️ Certificate programs).
who tell the truth?
My pleasure, @milko 🙂

Yes, I fully understand your posts. Don’t worry about it.

Since I have experienced neither your local program nor Coursera's program, I cannot really say which one could better fit your needs and expectations. On the mentioned form, it's stated that they will follow up on your submission and answer your questions. So, I think it's a good idea to consult them. Just try to evaluate the pros and cons, but remember that the final decision is yours. It's a decision that you should make carefully. If you feel the local program is a better option for you, then select that one.

Regarding financial aid, yes, that's true. Financial aid is not available for MasterTrack courses. This Help Article explains how the installment payment plan works.

"The installment payment plan lets you make four equal payments on four consecutive months. Once you start the installment plan, you'll still be charged for the entire program even if you don't complete it. Refund policies for these payments will be program specific."

I sincerely hope you'll find success in whatever path you choose to pursue.

Hi @milko. You might like to come to this webinar: Building Your Professional Persona. It's tomorrow (March 13) but even if you can't join live, you can register and get the recording. Professor Hlavac is giving the webinar. He teaches the Social Media Marketing Specialization on Coursera. He's also giving three more webinars in March and April. The last webinar will be an overview of the Social Media Marketing Specialization.

Hi @Danijela. Try following the steps outlined here: Payments on Coursera. If you still have trouble, let us know. Or, you can contact the support team through the Help Center. Just make sure you are logged in when you go to the Help Center.

In case you haven't seen it yet, here's the post with information about Professor Hlavac's upcoming webinar on March 26. He'll be giving two more webinars soon, and you can find links to register of all of these webinars here: The New Digital Content Model.

@Laura Thank you for the reminder re webinar. I have just registered.
It is also good that you provided a link to Payments. I was not aware that it is possible to subscribe for the entire catalog. But, if I understood correctly, this option is not available to everybody? If so, why is that? (I do not think that I would go for it, I am simply curious:)
I think that I am a candidate for the Social Media Marketing Specialization so it would be interesting to hear what prof. Hlavac will say in the webinar. Looking forward to it.!:)

Hi @Danijela. Great to hear you registered for the webinar! Regarding subscriptions to the catalog: this was an option previously; so it's referenced in the article for learners who did subscribe to the catalog back when it was a subscription option.
