Hello everybody!

I am currently taking Chinese for HSK 1 and I am looking for a study group to exchange study tips, notes and dialong with so that I can prepare to take the HSK! If anyone is interested in doing this, I am willing to start a group chat on Google Hangouts! If you have a google account, you can access this chat. If you do not have Hangouts on your other devices, feel free to download the app.

Here is the link to the chat! If you are interested in joining to learn Chinese along with us, then please feel free to join!

Apple, 你好吗? Haven't downloaded app or used WeChat to date, but it was mentioned in one of the Chinese language MOOCs. The Google hangout gives us free group chat. What advantage(s) does WeChat offer? Thanks in advance.

People in China are using WeChat, a social software. I wonder if you can use it. If you can use it, it will be better for us to communicate.

I'm glad to get your reply. I can only communicate with you through translation software now. If there is something wrong, please give me guidance. Thank you. I also hope to communicate and learn with you online. I haven't had any contact with HSK Coursers Group Google Hangout, but I will try to use it.

Hi Apple,

Welcome! Please feel welcome to join the Chinese HSK Coursera Group Google hangout (Clicking on hyperlinked "here" in rinnyssance's post that started this thread should take you right there, maybe after responding to prompt asking for your Google ID. or other ID you use for Coursera). Your joining should liven up the conversation and motivate and help everyone to advance. The learners who are members of the hangout are on different levels, beginning with HSK-1 and HSK-2 and up to intermediate and advanced levels. Engaging in interesting exchanges with a new member whose mother tongue is Chinese (you) should add interest and depth to the exchanges and motivate all of us, even the fluent CSL speaker(s), to improve in Chinese. I trust our input, whether in English or in Chinese, will be of interest to you, too. Among other topics, we share information and personal experiences with dictionaries, grammars, study aids, reference works, online tools, 等. 欢迎来!

@Alicia 你好。 Hope to see you at the Study partners for HSK hangout. 欢迎!As a native speaker, you would add a unique perspective and doubtless be able to save the rest of us from mistakes. We share study and learning resources, some of which may interest you apart from just language pedagogy.

Hi @rinnyssance, a Chinese language study group is a great idea. Did you post about this in your course discussion forum, too?
