I stumbled upon the IT Support certificate after my friend told me to get an A+ Certificate like him. After researching, I decided to enroll in the Coursera IT course because it is cost effective and seems like it is just as good or better than A+. Im not sure yet, if you or someone could give extra feedback on that. I completed my certificate 2 weeks ago so right now I am job searching.

I was looking for a foundational IT training program. I'd already completed studying for the A+ certificate but decided to test drive the Google IT Support Pro course and ended up liking it more. IMO the A+ certification is heavy on hardware details and older Windows version. I found the Google course to be more broad in its scope of learning and more up to date.

The biggest difference is the national recognition A+ has that Google lacks. However, since A+ is not a requirement for other certifications, it's not a barrier for me.

Frankly Google It Support Pro was just more fun.

I found this course online. Searching for affordable options to update my knowledge and skills about IT. I always love working with computers. Getting the Google IT Support course definitely gives me that advantage.

All my professional life is in Support Team, as operation or as management. And every day is a new opportunity to learn more and share our experiences. Finishing this course my LinkedIN views increase too much, but I'm still looking for a new job.

CompTia A+ is more widely recognized and studies materials our often offered at local libraries. I have both certifications . The both cover similar materials. Coursera was cost effective. Yet, I still recommend getting an A+ when money prevents. And completing the Google cert will put you on the fast track of studying for A+.

How did you hear about the Google IT Support Professional Certificate: I am a Google Certified Administrator, Educator Level 1 and Level 2. I found this certificate when researching the Google G Suite Certification

Why did you decide to enroll in the program? I wanted to update my IT info because I got my CompTia A + 17 years ago.

What advice do you have for people who are thinking about doing it? Plan focused study time to concentrate. I did 4.5 hours a week in the library and 6 hours a week at home.
