If you’re feeling anxiety and fear right now, you’re not alone.

Dr. Steve Joordens, a professor of psychology at the University of Toronto, Scarborough and an instructor in Introduction to Psychology on Coursera, has shared mental health tips for coping with the COVID-19 pandemic.

So, for example, a lot of our smart TVs have a karaoke built-in. One of the best things you can try to fit into the day is singing or laughing.  Those both released positive endorphins that help us deal with stress.

I couldn't agree more. Don't forget to do or learn some cool dance moves, too! It can be good for your health. :dancer_tone1:

Trying to find humor in the midst of the challenging times could be another way of helping to cope with the situation:

Photo came to me via WhatsApp from a friend

Laughter is the best medicine as they say…

This is something I received via WhatsApp from one of my friends, which you may like too:

Take a break from Corona..

Check your  presence of mind..… Take this test. Try it seriously, please don’t cheat!!

Relax, clear your mind and begin, what's the 1st answer that comes to your mind???.....

1. What do you put in a toaster?

"bread." If you said "toast," give up now and do something else.. Try not to hurt yourself. If you said bread, go to Question 2

2. Say "silk" five times. Now spell "silk." What do cows drink?

Cows drink water. If you said "milk," don't attempt the next question.

Your brain is over -stressed and may even overheat. Content yourself by reading more appropriate literature such as Auto World. However, if you said "water", proceed to question 3...

3. If a red house is made from red bricks and a blue house is made from blue bricks and a pink house is made from pink bricks and a black house is made from black bricks, what is a green house made from?

Greenhouses are made from glass. If you said "green bricks," why are you still reading these?? If you said "glass," go on to Question 4.

4. It's twenty years ago, and a plane crashes from 20,000 feet over Germany (If you will recall, Germany at the time was politically divided into East and West Germany) Where would you bury the survivors? East Germany, West Germany, "no man's land"?

Answer: You don't bury survivors!!! If you said anything else, you must stop. If you said, "You don't bury survivors", proceed to the next question.

5. Without using a calculator - You are driving a bus from Mumbai to Pune. In Mumbai , 17 people get on, in Pune , 16 get off. Name the driver.

Answer: Oh, for crying out loud! Don't you remember your own name? It was YOU!!

How do you think you are coping with coronavirus then according to this test?

Another one I received in the same text actually:

Count every  "F " in the following text:

How many F do you see?

Wrong!  There are 6  --  no joke.

Please read it again...

Really, go Back and Try to find the  6 F's before you scroll down.

The reasoning behind is  further down.

The brain cannot  process "OF".

Incredible isn’t it? Go back and look again!

Anyone who counts  all 6 "F's" on the first go is a genius.

Three  is normal, four is quite rare.

Do you like it?

Thank you for starting this very informative thread @Laura.

So true @Maryam, dancing is a wonderful exercise. Looking on the brighter side of the pandemic, so many people will learn to stay healthy. :)

Thank you for the recommendation @Jaime Alejandro Vargas Córdoba, I have already added the course to my wishlist.

@Denise, I never knew that you were this funny. I so love the dogs’ joke :joy:

I failed the first riddle; i said milk instead of water but I continued though and didn’t miss any. I got 4 Fs in my first read and then read again and got the 6 of them. Thank you for making me laugh so hard.

Thank you all once again.:relaxed:

I got 4 Fs in my first read and then read again and got the 6 of them.

@Terry, don’t worry. I got 7 Fs the first time I read it. :joy: In my case, my brain added an extra one!

Don’t worry @Terry and @Maryam I didn’t get all the Fs nor all the answers in the other test… I blame it on my small mobile phone’s screen though rather than my brain…  Or I need a big vacation, which I cannot take now!! No flights, no hotels!! :joy:

@Terry if you liked the joke photo above, I posted another one in my new how to overcome fear, anxiety, worry thread which you may like:

Enjoy! :relaxed:
