I'd like to check the correlation betwen continuous indipendent variables and a target categorical variable; so i thought of computing point-biserial correlation, but my data don't meet the assumptions (normality, homogeneity of variance...). Is there any alternative to point-biserial correlation to calculate the correlation between continuos and categorical variables?

Hello Seb79

I believe you have a few options

see this article published on medium:

An overview of correlation measures between categorical and continuous variables | by Outside Two Standard Deviations | Medium

Hope you find this useful
