I know there are lots of learners studying computer science and thinking about getting a master's degree. But it can be hard to know how a master's degree might influence salary. If you have experience in a computer science master's program, will you take a couple minutes to share your thoughts?

How much does someone with a master's degree in computer science make?

What other advice do you have for people thinking about getting a master's degree?

Master's degree help to switch your brain in to "required mode". This means that your brain will have deeper understanding of the processes and how everything is connected/related (if you studied enough).

From one side, this helps you to not spend much time while learning something new as you already have a background. As example, if you have master's degree in computer science you will not waste much time while learning new programming language because you already knows calculus, algorithms, etc.

From another side I've seen a lot of people who has no master's degree in computer science but switched in to IT.

In both cases people can get same money, but for people from another field it will/may take more time to get needed knowledge.

Salary depends on the country you leave in and the position.
