Hi to the community,

Although Computer Science is not my first preference, i would like to hear your views about the AR and VR Technology and their future developments. Do you think it is possible we use AR and VR in our daily routine ? Have these technologies the potential to fundamentally change the way we work ?

I hope i use the right forum, and i would be glad when we have a good discussion ☺

This is indeed an interesting topic. I'm impressed at how AR technologies are revolutionizing various fields. This short video shows how it can be used in medicine, for instance.

You can imagine people are more engaged with new digital devices, software with these new technologies, for instance, you will expect there are soon new products get into the market with new wearables that gives people new dimension of information at work helping them work more effective. A big US organization recently placed big order with Microsoft Hololen for field operation.

Even simpler platform is everyone smartphone powered by Machine Learning will spawn out a lot of new Apps taking advantages of the pwoerful processing capability of smartphone on everyone's hand. Having said that the industry are still catching up as there are lack of ML experts, and CPU-based smartphone are not up to the processing speed needed with Machine learning yet, but the next generation producgs, like Apple iPhone with embedded Neural Engine inside their Microcontroller will be a game changer
