Unable to reset password

Hi,

I am unable to reset my password using the password reset link that is sent to me via e-mail.

I've tried using different browsers and clearing my cache to no avail.

The error message I am seeing is this:

Uh oh! Your password reset token is invalid or has expired! Please double check that you copied and pasted the entire URL sent in your password request email, and that you clicked on the link within one hour of receiving it. If this still doesn't work, please request a new password reset link or visit the Learner Help Center.



By the way, this is for a different Coursera account (not the account I am currently using). I had to make a new one temporarily to access the support forum - not the best design if users are required to log on to get help!

@0bits A tricky situation if the password reset won't work, because the Help Center wants you to log in. You have presumably found the Solve Problems with your Coursera Account page. Perhaps try the Contact us button near the bottom of that page. Answer the questions, then select No, I want to email Coursera. Hopefully, someone will get back to you soon. If you can try to ask during USA business hours, perhaps someone will be able to help via live chat.

It sounds as if you need to visit the Help Center as was suggested. They will be able to help you reset yoir password. If youcannot access them, please let us know.

Perhaps try the Contact us button near the bottom of that page. Answer the questions, then select No, I want to email Coursera. Hopefully, someone will get back to you soon. Thank you for that info, @Lochcarron. I looked at the Help Center while trying to work out how to explain the process, and there was only an option to email Coursera. No chat option. I guess I misinterpreted the process.

Usually, if you keep asking for more help, the Chat will appear, but it is cumbersome. What I focused on was that it is not bound to any office hours, they are, or were, based in Guatemala.
it is definitely not user friendly for many. It recognizes mentors, I always get Live Chat immediately, some people have been getting a bot 🙂
I was finally able to find the proper contact link from this thread (it's included in the first post). I am only able to e-mail but the form appears to be broken. It still shows the alert to enter an e-mail address even after I have already entered one. And although the alert after submitting tells me that my request was submitted, I would not receive any e-mail confirmation that included my ticket number.

I found that I was only able to access chat when I logged in using this temporary account.
