Unable to pay for subscription or specialization from India

Hi, I have tried using my local debit card to take a subscription for a specialization on coursera. I have tried using my card also with UPI app. Nothing worked. Can any give me suggestions? or Is it that we cannot register for courses with specializations from India?

The Coursera team is aware that learners from India may be experiencing difficulties when paying. It’s related to a recurring online transactions directive of RBI, as explained here. If you are using Razorpay, please try another method. If nothing works, then you probably have to wait for now.

Hi @pavan12 . as explained in this help article :Accepted payment methods local payment is accepted payment from india and don't worry India is not restricted country there is a lot learners here from india , i think this is just an error you can try clear your browser cookies or user other devices maybe will help you resolve your issue according this help article : Solve problems with payments .

Hi @Noname. If I gain any new info on this, I’ll post an update here. 

Update - The latest info I've gained:

For now, learners in India can only use Razorpay to purchase courses. They’ll need to use a Visa/Mastercard to pay for Specializations.
