Problem processing my credit card information while try to enroll in Course

Hi,
I'am having problem starting a free trial with Course enrollment, when entering my credit card info, I always gets this message:

''Sorry, there was a problem processing your credit card. Please try again with a different credit card.''

I firstly tried with my VISA card, and after that with MasterCard card, but always ended up with same message.

I have followed the instructions form Helpcenter to clear cashing and cookies and even changed my browser , and re-loged again, but all of that didn't help.

Please can you suggest what I need to do next?

I recommend visiting the Help Center, where you can read about common payment issues and contact the support team for additional help if needed: Pay for a course or Specialization.

Most of the times when I have these kind of issues I check:
if I have money on my pre paid card or
on my bank account if I use my debit card.

I have a similar problem even after loading my prepaid credit card with money.

Hello, same problem. I called visa and they said the have authorize the payment by checking my personal information. please what now? what can I do? I also have a maestro debit card but it says wrong card number, so it does not accept maestro from mastercard debit card neither.

Hi, I also had the same problem and visited the Help Center, but the clicking the ‘Contact us’ does not work. It only forwarded the Help topics page. No idea to contact to ask for solution.

Hi, 

I am having the same problem. I have tried different cards (Visa Debit, Mastercard...) from two different banks as well as using my husband’s card. I have did the transaction from two different browsers and I have cleaned the cache. Still not working. 

I have contacted an agent on the chat and he wasn’t able to help either. Could anyone let me know how did you solve this problem in the end, as I can see it’s been marked as Solved.

Hi @Vazquez. I’m sorry you've had trouble trying to use your cards. I can imagine how frustrated you are. If you’re still having trouble, I do suggest trying the steps that the support agent recommended.

Our support team has a great deal of knowledge about technical issues, including payments. If you are trying to pay with accepted credit cards and it’s still not working, it might be worth contacting the credit card providers.

If you do that and they say there are no restrictions, then you can reopen your support ticket by responding to the most recent email you received. Again, I’m very sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi @Laura. I had, well still have the same issue. I contact my card provider and it appears Coursera has been “BLACKLISTED” due to security reasons. Landing page is not listed as secure connection. I have a bit hard time, googling trying to find colleagues from Slovenia to see how they solved issue, yet no luck. I also tried with a different card provider (REVOLUT), no luck at all. I’ll keep on looking for other possibilities, I just hope my motivation doesn’t leave me before. :)

Hello, coursera has been blacklisted by both of my banks in the Czech Republic due to insecurity of working with data. One bank even blocked my card, the other one fortunately did not block it, but gave me a warning.

Anybody found any solution regarding this? 

I did everything Coursera told me to do, deleted cookies, tried different browser, tried pay from application, sent them the java script of the process. They are unable to do anything. Funny thing is the card that I want to use has been used before also and worked. 

Anyways if anyone has found a solution please share how you guys did it, my cards has funds and has been used for other transactions on amazon and linked in but did not have any problem.

Laura this problem would be ok happening with one person, maybe there bank did not allow the payment, but this is occurring with more than one person and my card has been used for other transactions and works fine but for coursera it says the payment is not being accepted by bank, I have talked to the bank and they have no such issue, the card has been used before on Coursera. Could you please instead of telling us to look through the helpline check why is this problem happening and what could be fixed at Coursera so we do not incur such problems, I have been trying so hard to join a course I really need but unable to.

My Norwegian card has also been blocked by the bank as they suspected unauthorized use. Fortunately I’ve been able to re-open it again.  But it clearly shows some bad signs on Coursera payment provider as that is the first time I got my card blocked for the last 4 years of use.

facing the same issue, tried several credit and debit cards. Been trying several times to do what the help center suggests to me to do, but it still, leaves me with no luck at all.

I tried with 2 different VISA and 2 different Master cards, cleared cache, changes browser, tried in the android app but not able to make the payment.

this is an year old issue and people as near as one hour before are having the same problem, i dont think something will happen regarding it, better just leave it.
