I am on Week 2 of a course called Writing for Young Readers, and I absolutely love it! I have seen almost all of the videos prior, and I see that you can volunteer to add in subtitles for the videos. I realize that I can help and would love to.
But it seems like the language that I can translate into (Bahasa Malaysia) isn't on Coursera's Global Translator Community. It isn't on the dropdown list when you go to sign up for GTC.
I would say that I am very fluent in Bahasa and I know other Malaysians (who aren't entirely fluent in English) who would love this course as much as I do - especially if there is Bahasa in the subtitles for them to understand better.
I wish I spoke other languages fluently so that I can help better, and I'm so sorry for inconveniencing, but for the time being, my native language is the only one I am comfortable with translating fully. Thank you for understanding.
Is Bahasa just not available for GTC yet, or I am the one who can't access it? If it's the former, is there any way for me to include it in the list and help out?
Thank you so much!

I'm sorry to hear that! I can see a couple of similar requests in the discussion forums of the GTC portal. For example, these threads bring forward the same issue:
