How can I pause a course?

The course I'm going through is divided in weeks, with each of them requiring an evaluation that has to be turned in by a specific date. I have a work-related emergency and it looks like I won't be able to spend time in the course for a few weeks. Can I pause it and resume it later? If not, what will happen with the progress I've already made?

Thanks

Hi @edu.huerta,

The deadlines are personalized in most courses at the moment. I am not referring to the Degree Programs or other learning programs that may have hard deadlines. If it is a normal course with personalized deadlines, you should be able to reset them and resume working on the course materials whenever you are ready. You said that you would be away for a few weeks, but I do not know when you paid or how you paid. If you have already paid, it is important to consider these points, too:

  • When you pay for a course, the payment will expire 180 days from that date.
  • When you pre-pay for a complete Specialization, your payment will expire one year from that payment date.
  • When you apply for Financial Aid, you'll need to complete the course within 180 days. If you cannot do that, you will need to submit another Financial Aid application.
  • Finally, if you want to stop your subscription payments, please follow these steps.
I hope these help.

I had applied a course for financial aid, It has started on April 11th 2019. Due to my university exams ,
I won't be able to spend time on learning the course. How should i pause the course?
Hi @Jagadeesh Suggula,

Once your application is approved, you have to complete the course within 180 days. When you are prepared to come back and do the course, you can reset your deadlines, so don't worry about it. Please note that it applies to normal courses with personalized deadlines, not to a degree course with hard deadlines.

If a learner doesn't complete a course within 180 days, he or she can submit a new application. For more information, please read this Help Article:
Hope this helps.

Due to my university exams, I am not able to do the peer graded assignments. Will I be able to submit them and get them reviewed as well as graded after a couple of weeks?
Hi @Nishesh. What is your course? Please take a look at my posts to see which item could apply to your case.

@Maryam Is the 180 Day deadline for the financial aid is also 180 day for a Whole Specialization? Or is it 180 day for each course? That's not clear for me.
Hi @mohamadeen. You're required to submit a separate application for each course in a Specialization. So, if you don’t complete Course 1 within 180 days, you'll have to submit a new application for that particular course.
