So I’m auditing a course and I want to unenroll.

After clicking the button “Yes, unenroll”, it did nothing.

I inspected the code and it seems Coursera doesn’t allow people to unenroll from the so-called “spark courses” (see attached image).

My questions are :

  1. Why do you do this?
  2. What are spark courses?
  3. If I insist to unenroll, what must I do?

Hello @maprang. I’m sorry to hear about your issue with unenrolling from this course; Spark courses are courses from Coursera’s old platform, but this looks like a technical issue.

In order to unenroll from your course, please follow the directions provided by @Rizvi Syed and contact support for help.

Hi! @maprang , If that's the case you can't unenroll and you want it to be removed from your dashboard,You need to get help from a support agent for Unenrollment process. About spark courses they are the elite courses which are equal to or recognised as industrial grades.

Please enter the Help Center and log in from the top right corner. Then, look for the option [If you still need help with a technical or accessibility issue, you can email us here] at the bottom of this Link .

There you can find an option for email us here.

Hope you'll be able to submit your query now.

They can answer best to their knowledge.

Best regards,

Thank you both for your really quick responses.

I will follow the advice of Rizvi or I might actually apply for financial aid.

The course I’m trying to unenroll is actually very interesting it’s just that I’m on a really tight budget. I've been unemployed for almost a year now due to Covid-19.

If there’s an issue I hope I could still come back to this thread and pose a new question.
