I cancelled my free subscription the same day that I created it (it turned out that Coursera didn't have what I wanted). Then I got an email two days ago saying I was charged for the $50 subscription. I unsubscribed again and it said that I was unsubscribed, but when I returned today, I was still subscribed. I deleted my credit card number from the site today, so I'm hoping that means I'm actually unsubscribed now.
Everything I've read says I can't get a refund since I "didn't unsubscribe", which is frustrating since I did (or at least, I thought I did). At the very least, I want to make sure that I am in fact unsubscribed because if this happens again, I will be livid.
I haven't been able to find a way to email support, and the chat page never loads a chat box in the bottom right like it says it will.
