Which Software do you prefer in planning for your own business or Company you are employed?

There are softwares used by companies as a benchmark for their employees and they follow that particular software only in their company and then there are plenty of free online project management softwares as well. Which one's are your favourite? Did you have a chance to practice MS Project, Primavera or any other Software? What are there key striking features that differentiates them from the rest?

There are many employees who still rely on excel to prepare bar-chart for their work and although the excel trend is not completely obsolete, Primavera has taken over as a good choice for the rest of the organizations. Many people i have come across who use MS Project find it a bit complicated to incorporate dependencies in MS Project. Some people also complain about dates being automatically changed or days altered. What do you think are the shortcomings of the software's you are using and how did you cope with it? Naturally, the software which creates less errors will be preferred by an individual or an organization.
