The course of the week is Introduction to Public Speaking taught by the University of Washington.

@Claire and I are hoping that together we can help people find great courses through the community. Every week, we're featuring a course and inviting people who have taken the course to share their course highlights and how they're using what they learned.

Have you taken Introduction to Public Speaking?

What did you like about it?

What were the key skills and knowledge you gained from the course?

Who would benefit from taking this course?

What have you done with what you learned?

I took the Introduction to Public Speaking course in Coursera with the help of a Financial Aid. The thing that I like the most about it was the certificate I got from Coursera after completing the subject, as well as the convenience of taking the online classes. I remember that we were taught how to organize our thoughts with a method or technique so as to prepare us for speaking publicly and for me that was one of the key skills and knowledge that I gained from this course. I think anyone can benefit from this course, especially if you have stage fright or if you just want to feel confident the next time you need to speak in public. So far I have applied it in my line of work as an HR practitioner and I am thankful for the opportunity that Coursera gave me.

A very important topic. if you have a video please share it to us for more help.

A surprise find on Public Speaking Coaching by smart speakers, e.g. Alexa per

The speakers are getting smarter (pun intended) :-)    The psychological factor mentioned in the article makes sense in supporting one’s rehearsal.
